Biography
Jenny began her career with a BSc (Biochemistry) from University College Cork and a PhD in protein chemistry from Cranfield University. Following postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge and Cranfield university. After a family move to Inverness, Jenny moved into industry, working on product performance within the QA team at what was then Inverness Medical Limited. She subsequently spent time as a self-employed consultant and working on a start-up in the health and wellbeing sector. In 2011 Jenny joined the Rural Health team at UHI where she has been an integral part of numerous rural health focussed projects applying skills in data analysis, statistical analysis, questionnaire design and analysis, social return on investment and health economics. She has also combined her background in biochemistry and knowledge of the diabetes field to support and deliver research on rural diabetes health services.
