Session Outline
We all have tasks we’ve been meaning to get to — the email you’ve been drafting in your head, the document that needs updating, the time to think through your past achievements and plan for the next. This session is a space to pause, reset, and give yourself the time to focus.
As part of the Women’s Network, this hour online session has been designed to offer a structured but low-pressure environment where you can make progress on something you’ve been putting off. We’ll begin with a short round of introductions and then we’ll spend the bulk of the hour working quietly but alongside others, finishing with a brief opportunity to connect and reflect.
Whilst this is a chance to action those things you’ve been putting off, it’s also a chance to meet other women across the UHI and remind ourselves how helpful an hour of focused time can be. You will benefit from the accountability and motivation of working alongside others. The group setting encourages commitment and progress, helping individuals move from procrastination to progress through shared focus and gentle peer momentum.
To prepare, we recommend thinking about the task (40 minutes) you would like to work on. Some examples include:
- Positive post-it notes, writing up comments/quotes/phrases you have heard to channel into your own work practice
- Beginning that daunting task you had been putting off
- Writing that email, colour coding your calendar, thinking through your leadership goals over the next year…
All are welcome!
