Session Outline
This is a practical session that introduces the the EUIA (Escala de Uso de la IA), a new framework designed to assess and promote AI literacy and among learners.
The EUIA scale was created by session's facilitator as part of the ECTS module Strategies for the Integration of AI in Assessment that is delivered by the ULPGC and the European University Association Network. Module participants are teaching staff at the ULPGC and in European universities.
The EUIA scale comprises six levels of interaction with GenAI in assessment and is designed to foster specific AI-related competencies and skills, as identified in major international frameworks for AI literacy and competence, including those developed by UNESCO, the European Union, and Jisc.Participants reported that the EUIA scale was a valuable tool for understanding the ethical and pedagogical implications of GenAI in assessment.
