Fees and funding

Tuition fees

Our tuition fee structure details fees for the different forms of study:

Tuition fees are also dependent on your country of residence.

Funding opportunities

Choosing to study for a postgraduate qualification is a big commitment. Help is available, through scholarships, bursaries and sponsorship:

Student loans, scholarships and grants

Sponsorship from employers or other businesses

Sponsorship from employers or other businesses

Postgraduate sponsorship makes for well-qualified, enthusiastic, committed employees and as a result an increasing number of employers are willing to fund or contribute to the costs of a postgraduate qualification. Alternatively your employer may want to support your studies by providing other forms of help such as paid leave, money for research materials or help with tuition fees.

Research Councils

Research Councils

There are six Research Councils in the UK who offer awards for taught and research courses at Masters degree level and above. Amounts awarded vary, but all awards for UK students include tuition fees payable direct to the institution, plus a contribution towards maintenance, including travel, fieldwork and academic materials.

Research Councils do not accept direct applications from individuals, and any awards available at the university will be advertised above.
